Just outside our hotel’s doors, between the 23rd of February and 31st of March, you will witness Rembrandtplein’s yearly ice rink and winter attractions.

After one year of it being postponed due to corona restrictions, this joyful event is reopening with double the excitement and triple the fun. You’ll be able to experience an authentic Dutch winter just by looking out of the hotel’s windows.

Observe and try all of the different Dutch attractions such the “snow cannons”, wooden chalets, glühwein, winter snacks and the ice-skating rink that covers the Rembrandtsquare. All of this is situated and overlooked by “de Nachtwacht” statue, symbolic of Rembrandtplein and located right in the centre of the square.

After a long day of walking trough Amsterdam, why not finish it by enjoying some winter festivities and get to meet the friendly Amsterdam locals in the Rembrandtsquare?

The rink is open daily from 10:00 until 23:00 and the chalets are open until midnight and 01:00 on weekends. If you’re planning on going ice skating yourself the entrance fee is only €2.50 for the whole day! If you don’t have ice skating boots there is no need to worry! You can rent them out on location for only €5.

This joyous celebration will assure that your winter in Amsterdam will be unforgettable.
