As a historic building, we continuously seek practical ways to improve our environmental performance while respecting the character of the property. What We Do

Energy

We strive to reduce energy consumption throughout the hotel by:

Using energy-efficient LED lighting.
Switching off unnecessary lighting and equipment when not in use.
Maintaining our heating and cooling systems for efficient operation.
Encouraging guests to switch off lights and air conditioning when leaving their rooms.

Water

Water is a valuable resource. To reduce unnecessary consumption, we:

Install water-saving fixtures where possible.
Regularly inspect for leaks and repair them promptly.
Encourage guests to reuse towels during their stay.
Promote responsible water use throughout the hotel.

Waste & Recycling

Reducing waste is an important part of our sustainability programme.

Recycle paper and cardboard.
Reduce single-use items whenever practical.
Work with our suppliers to minimise unnecessary packaging.

Guests can also help by separating paper from residual waste during their stay.

Responsible Purchasing

Whenever possible, we choose products and suppliers that support responsible environmental practices. We consider product quality, durability, environmental impact, and local sourcing when making purchasing decisions.

Housekeeping

Our housekeeping team follows environmentally responsible cleaning practices by:

Using cleaning products responsibly.
Avoiding unnecessary replacement of towels and linens.
Monitoring the correct use of water and cleaning materials.

How You Can Help

During your stay, you can make a positive contribution by:

Hanging your towel if you wish to use it again. Towels left on the bathroom floor will be replaced.
Turning off lights and air conditioning when leaving your room.
Using water responsibly.
Separating paper waste from residual waste.
Reporting leaking taps or other maintenance issues to Reception.

Every small action helps us reduce our environmental footprint.
