Very convenient location from the central station. The hotel is located in the city center, within walking distance of all attractions. There was also daily cleaning.

It is a very nice hotel: the people who work there, the room, the air conditioning, the wonderful bed, and it is quiet; even though it is located next to a fairly busy road, you hear practically nothing. The bathroom is special, but you accept that too.

New, clean, with everything you need. I got the small one person room, and indeed is small but doesn’t feel claustrophobic at all. The space is used well, the furniture is pretty functional with the space and it was very comfortable with everything you need. Reception is 24h so that’s great in case you need something. A/C worked great.

Truly lovely hotel. Clean, well laid out and fantastic use of the builidings architecture within the rooms. Highly recommend and located in a vibrant area. Specfically in such a busy area, the room was perfectly quiet. 10/10

Hotel is in great location everything in easy walking distance. Room was cosy & spotless with fantastic shower Towels & bed linen fresh & clean. Upgrade to a balcony room for great views over rembrandt square Staff respectful & polite anything you need just ask. We will return to hotel any time we are in Amsterdam.

The hotel was in a very central location, within walking distance of many attractions. It was also very close to the metro and tram stops. The only downside was that the stairs were quite steep and there was no elevator. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Had a wonderful stay at The City. Beautifully decorated hotel overlooking Rembrandt square, really clean and well designed rooms. Helpful staff on hand 24 hours a day. Can't wait to return.

Great location, clean room, friendly staff! This was a great home base for our exploration of Amsterdam. The location was walkable to public transportation, restaurants, and the canals. All the staff members were very friendly and welcoming. Room was small but freshly renovated, clean, and had a great view of Rembrandt Square. Would recommend!

Great location for night life and fun design for rooms. There are stairs to the rooms so be prepared. Rooms are typical Dutch layout with in room shower/bathroom. You will find that pretty standard in the Netherlands. The shower worked great, especially for someone tall like myself. Rooms are designed with luggage hideaways to save space. The shower worked Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They keep the building very secure during the night but I had no problems getting in and out.

The hotel has everything one needs. Everything was perfect—the room was great, very comfortable, everything worked well. Maybe for us the rooms are a bit small, but it still had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, but above all, what stood out the most about the hotel was the staff. Every single person working there treated us wonderfully, and we especially want to highlight Joao’s work. He guided us, explained everything, was extremely kind to us, and helped us with several personal situations and questions we had about getting around the city and finding things. We thought there might be noise in the room, but no—the stay was perfect. All the hotel’s facilities are very, very, very good. Everything was excellent. Without a doubt, we would come back.

The whole hotel was really nicely designed - the art on the walls was very cool. Our room was spotless and the staff were very friendly. It was in a decent position to explore the city, with shops, cafes and restaurants all very nearby.

Very nice location, you have public transportation a few steps from the property. Staff were very friendly. Keep in mind you have to climb staircases to get to your room. We arrived before check-in time but staff stored our luggages for us. There’s a diversity of restaurants and pubs around. We stayed for a week and we loved the stay at this hotel.
